“I believe access to and the exploration of creativity should be available to all.
I joined BAS to explore new forms of creative expression and to help others explore their creative side.”
Biography
Wendell is a local agender cryptid, artist, and curious hobbyist, now serving as the Assistant Director of the Border Artist Society. From a young age, they’ve had an insatiable drive to learn and create—constantly picking up new skills and asking, “How can I do this?” often before considering the “Why?”
After reconnecting with their creative roots, Wendell has begun exploring new forms of expression, including woodworking, sculpture, and linocut printing.
A punk at heart and queer by nature, they are deeply passionate about environmental justice, feminism, LGBTQIA+ rights, and border-related issues. While they often work behind the scenes, Wendell is always ready to lend a hand to the causes they care about most.
