Biography
Karen Martinez is dedicated to creating a healthier, more inclusive, and vibrant community in Eagle Pass, Texas. As the Community Outreach Coordinator for the Eagle Pass Public Health Coalition, she works tirelessly to improve health equity and bring essential, free services to underserved areas of Maverick County. In her role with Eagle Pass SAFE, Karen advocates for the safety, well-being, and empowerment of the LGBTQIA+ community.
Beyond her work in public health, Karen is deeply passionate about the arts. She collaborates with local artists to promote creativity as a vital part of the region’s identity and advocates for accessible art programs that inspire and unite.
With a strong commitment to service and social advocacy, Karen brings heart, vision, and action to everything she does—building a more connected, expressive, and just community.
